Courses are offered on a full-time, part-time, work-based and online basis in the areas of Computing, Engineering, Horticulture, Social Care, Languages, Social and Community Development, Sports Management and Coaching, Creative Digital Media and Business.
In conjunction with FÁS, ITB is participating in Phase 4 and 6 of the Apprenticeship Training Programme. The Institute of Technology Blanchardstown has been granted Delegated Authority from HETAC to make awards to suitable candidates.
ITB recognizes that one of its core activities is Research and has established itself as a significant member of the research community within the third level education sector in Ireland since it opened in 1999.
The LINC Centre (Learning and Innovation Centre) at ITB is the centre which supports the research activities taking place in the Institute supporting technology transfer activities, applied research links with industry and links to the funding agencies for the research activities in the Institute.
ITB is located in Blanchardstown, a growing suburb of Dublin. It directly serves the greater Blanchardstown area and the north and west of Dublin city and county.
The first ITB sporting club was founded in ITB in October 1999. Since then, ITB has tried to facilitate all sporting preferences.
